Aw, that's really sweet that you will think of me :) Thanks! I'll definetly be wishing I was there. When is it btw? Oh, that would be so cool, if you came here for a weekend or something! We have something called Scandic (a hotel-chain) and I don't it's too expensive to stay there. Also, you don't have to do alot of things that costs money. Don't keep any money in your pocket if you ever visit "Gamla stan", for two reasons. One, the allies are really small so it's easy to mug people. Two, you'll be paying overprice for everything you buy. It's a beautiful place though, so I would advice you to go there but it's easy to loose the whole vacation budget at once ;) This is just random information if you ever go. I can understand that it's not that easy to convince your parents to let you go to another country for the weekend. Haha, your English teacher really needs to learn some english it seems! I would love for you to send me the tape! :D When you get the time of course. Maybe we can talk casually on MSN in the future and if it's something we want to say that's too long for MSN or if we want to say something and the other one's not online we can do it here. Sounds good? Well, I'll see you around! :) Ciao!
Have you written all of the exams yet or are there still a few left? And is it all of the subjects? Of course I remember Die Ärzte! ;D You know what? Mando Diao played in Stockholm this wednesday and I missed it! How stupid is that?! Wednesday afternoon I went to this ticket-buying site to check when the concert was and it was that night! I had totally forgotten about it and then, on the day I somehow started thinking: Hmm, when IS that concert really? It's like rock intuition... My subconsious was telling me that I should have been there. Damn you, late memory! Well, anyways, I'm glad you're going! :) It was schoolnight anyway so I'm not sure if my parent would have let me go either way... And you can't be bitter forever. Haha, it's definetly something to see us all dancing like that! I hope you can come to Sweden too! Tell me if you do, you know the couch is always ready ;P The video-recording sounds really fun! You're gonna have to put it up on youtube so that I can see it ;) We don't have a channel like that in Sweden. Thank God! It seems really stupid to have a whole channel only dedicated to astrology and stuff. And I don't belive in it either. But it's fun anyway. Yeah, when I first started learning English I thought it was so confusing that both grandmothers had the same name. I always wondered if it was the fathers mother or the mothers mother. We don't have alot of good things to show off with but that's definetly one ;) My German teacher told me that the German national day was called "Tager Wiederuereinigung". Is that wrong or can you call it that too? I'm not gonna attempt to write anything German this time... So, goodbye!
I'm really really sorry for the good night-thing. -buries head in hands and shake it- That's so embarrasing that I would misspell it sooo bad! I should have checked... I'll write you later but msn is finally working and I wanna catch up on that first. Do you have MSN?
You have school in the middle of summer? That's harsh. We have a summer break that lasts from the middle of June 'til end of August (although I started school the 17th, which is quite early), so that's one thing I don't have to worry about when it comes to summer festivals :) Yeah, my parents probably wouldn't let me go anywhere if they (or somebody they trusted) couldn't pick me up if something DID happen. And I guess that's quite good after all, what if you broke your leg and no one could come and drive you home? But then again there's always paramedics on location... Ah, I still don't think she's too weird for worrying. While I'm away that is. If she won't let me go, then I don't agree with her anymore. ^^ Yeah, come on! One school day? What can you miss? And your parents must know how much you love The Hives by now ;) Ah, parents! Danke ;) Well, I don't know that much German just because my grandmother's German. She speaks Swedish and I don't see my German family too often, since they live in Germany and are quite old. :p Most of my grandmas close relatives have died or like, are dying... I know it sounds horrible, but seeing your 98 year old distant relative who only speak German isn't the ideal vacation for me... I'd do it for The Hives though ^^ We hardly ever speak any German in our family... Sometimes we say some words though. Like vielleicht, danke, acht so, slaven zi gut or sheisse or eine kleine nacht musik, y'know all the important words lol Yeah, everything about Hitlers policies are so stupid and unrational and... ah, can't even think of good words to describe it! My grandmother didn't flee during the war, but she came her short after because of it. Her family was poor before, but during the world war she and her family lost everything. Her father moved here a few years earlier (during the war, I think), so in like 1952 or something my grandma and her mum followed. At first she was treated very bad because she was an immigrant and didn't know that much Swedish. She had to work as a maid for a rich family and they treated her pretty much like Cinderella ;) They would call her in the middle of the night and tell her to fix them something and were always very rude... Nowadays immigrants get cleaning jobs (which is quite similar to my grandmothers first experience of Sweden) and other low-income jobs. So, you know what you have in store when you move here ;) Argh, I hate the way we treat immigrants over here! Especially the non-euoropean ones. Well, that's a subject I can go on about forever so I'll stop. Btw, I have a Hitler joke. Why do people wear red shirts in fights? (so that the blood won't show) And what colour was Hitlers pants? ^^ hehe... About midsummers eve: well, we dress up a pole with flowers and then dance around it. We sing songs called like "Little frogs" and then there's dancemoves you do along with the lyrics. "Little frogs, little frogs are funny to look at. No ear, no ears, no tails they have" (Små grodorna, små grodorna är lustiga att se. Ej öron, ej öron, ej svansar haver de.) And when you sing "no ears" you put your hands against your head and make little ears, and when you sing no tails you put your hands against you tush and as a tail. All through the song you are hopping around the pole. So, that explains the getting-wasted-bit of the day... Haha, I haven't seen he IKEA commercial but that's kind of true ;) There is an abba (a swedish canned food-brand, they sued ABBA for the name but then ABBA got more famous than the brand so they though what the hell and didn't care) commercial where a family brings out all of the food (we eat special midsummer-food, smörgåsbord y'know...) to the front porch and gets the kids and grandma and grandpa to sit down at the table and it starts to rain and they have to bring everything in again. That's quite typical... You can never trust Swedish weather. I think Pelles hair is p
Haha, I knew I had one more in me ;) Oh, that's great! I haven't got any album (they've only made one right?) with them but the stuff I've heard is great! I think they're pretty good live too. Lucky girl ;D I think a few members of Razorlight are Swedish too, so if you meet THEM after show, you know... :P Yeah, my mum haven't allowed me to go to any festivals yet but this year there weren't too many that I wanted to go to anyway so we didn't have the discussion. My grandmother is from Germany but she moved to Sweden when she was about 15. I have family in Germany though, so I thought that if I visited them (stayed at relatives' house) she might let me go. I think the biggest issue with going on to festival so far away is that my parents can't pick me up if something would happen, I'd get sick or robbed or something. But if there was someone else that by parents trusted nearby they might be okay with it. Hehe, I've thought alot about this ;p And if nothing else works out, I can always beg for a vacation in Germany and we could all go to the festival toghter. I know it sucks to have your parents there, but for The Hives it's a small price to pay! The TV show sounds interesting, is it about people immigarting nowadays or in the past? Yeah, there's definetly something special about A little more for little you! It's something in the melody that's... magical. :) When I saw them live they did Here we go again and it was amazing, so that one's my new favourite ;) Otherwise it's probably I'm a wicked one, Keel haulin', Dead quote olympics and the new one that goes like "I haven't got a job, cause I ain't got no skills" and so forth. The lyrics reminds me of that Nina Simone song "I Ain't Got No -I Got Life"... Sorry, I ended up picking too many songs. It's just hard to choose. You can say really all the time if you want. You usally notice it alot more when you type it, than the person who reads it does... Plus, I'm used to stockholm ^^ I've heard about the movie, saw clips of it on like Conan and Letterman when they were out promoting it before. Yeah, sad endings sucks. But then again those cheesy Hollywood-everyone's-happy-and-it-all-worked-out-great-endings suck too. I'd prefer the sad ones over them, really. But maybe I'm just being picky cause I'm reading Shakespeare... ;) Yeah, it's hard to picture yourself getting married at this age. But I guess that someday you'll fall head over heals and all rational thinking will be long gone... Gay couples can get married in Germany? That's awesome! In Sweden they "register partnership", and it's just a byrocratic thing. They don't even get a ceremony. Haha, I had to look some of the words up in a dictonary though... -rolls eyes- So I'm not that good ;p See ya!
Haha, you freak out when you see attractive Swedish guys too? It drains you emotionally after a while when you see them everyday. People stare and stuff but it's still worth it. ;p Sorry, mofo is a bad influence on me. I hope they play a German festival and I can come visit your lovely country this summer. I'm not sure my mom will let me though. But my grandmother's German, so if I sweet talk the family a bit I might get to... ;D That's nice it worked! But I saw that I accidentaly sent out the none spell checked post before, so my unfortunately was misspelled. And I wrote "intrigs", instead of "intrigues" lol Sorry about that. I'm not gonna spell check this one either cause I'm lazy just so you know. If I find a clip of Pelle speaking Swedish I'll let you know. It's just that Swedish television shows don't end up on youtube and such most of the time so it's hard to find. I had a Spanish teacher that hardly spoke Swedish once. And I'm not that good at Spanish. Kinda why I didn't continue with it... I love H&M too! :D I bought a jacket there a few days ago. Yes! I hate those wedding planners and obsessive brides! Who cares about which colour your napkin is? I don't even want to get married. I'll probably do someday when I'm in love though... But I'm not exactly inpatient. Haha, gay guys want to plan other peoples weddings because they can't get married themselves, don't you think? No, that something blue, borrow etc. is typical American I think... I don't know of any other country in the world that has it as a tradition. YES! I'm so glad to read that you like Find Another Girl! I love it too, but people here don't seem to. Heh, it is quite sexy when his voice is that deep... :9 That last part of the first message means you learned some Swedish today, right? I'm not too sure about my German skills ;) Haha, it did look rather funny. With the window thing, I don't have the energy to find out what it means exactly, in German, right now but I think I know what you mean. I don't get how it happened in your eye though. Must have hurt. My eye gets swollen sometimes when I wear make up without washing it off properly. So I'm really cautious about make up. What's your favourite Hives-song if push comes to shove btw? Ciao!
jap. naja, ich schau mich um, vielleicht find ich trotzdem mal wieder jemanden.... die hoffnung stirbt zuletzt.... jetzt bin ich ja schoma, hier is ja ein guter anfang... ;) und du kommst ausm Norden?
Haha, imagining you saying it to your friends makes me strangely happy! :D It also makes me ridiculously happy when you write it to me! Can't stop grining... Although I pulled out a tooth today (don't worry, at the dentist) so half my cheek is still numb and I can only simle with half my mouth. It looks fairly silly, I can tell you that. You gotta teach me a phrase in German! Although at this stage I don't even think my friends would react to me saying strange things... ;) It's pretty much the same in Germany and Sweden I think. It's just that I've been home for so long (have had a virus), so I contacted THEM. They would never have sent something otherwise. Belive me. It would have been nice if teacher did that though. They always relay on other students to fill you in, but it's not their job to take notes for other people. Sometimes people don't want to share their information either... Haha, but Swedish with a Pelle-accent sounds cute too ;D I think it's him more than the language. But the next time I feel I suck at all German pronounciation I'll just think of what you said and feel better: "at least it sounds cute". :) Yes, Pernilla is a typical Swedish name. In fact I have a friend named Pernilla and in fourth grade my teacher was called that. Yes (again), in fact I saw them live a few weeks ago. They were good but the circumstances made it quite bad. It was a free outdoor concert with a lot of different bands and so they only got to play three songs and at the time they played I could hardly see anything. I hope I'll get to see them some other time, with better vision and longer a setlist. Like you. :) Hope you have a great time!! -sends good time wishes- Just thought of something! If you meet them after the show, greet them with you-know-what ;D Hihi, that would be hilarious! I get the shirt thing now. Sorry, I just didn't understand what you meant at first. Hmm, I guess they can think like send out signals to the nerves but I don't think they review Tolstoj in their mind. Although what a discovery that would be! Can you say "fortune"? Try building up the word from that and it might come easier. Might ;) It's hard for me too, especially to write... Yeah, I can't wait for them to start touring! I'm so glad I got to see them in August, that stills the hunger a little. But very little. Bye! :)
Oh well, but when you move to Sweden you can walk around greeting people with the "hej hej, hemskt mycket hej"-phrase (it means Hi Hi, an awful lot of Hi btw). Haha, it must become so much funnier when someone says it with a German accent too! XD Hahaha, sorry for the silliness... The sentence was correct except for one small, small thing: in this context you say "i Tyskland" instead of "in Tyskland", but it barely counts as a fault ;) Come on, it's just ONE letter wrong! Haha, I have three theories about the language tapes-guy: 1) He's trying to speak as clear as possible and it's backfiring on him, cause instead of pronouncing the words clearer he's just extending the vowls 2) He has a funny accent (in some parts of Sweden you roll the r:s, but not in the whole country) 3) You said his name was Perge. Perge isn't a typical Swedish name (I've never heard it before) so I have two theories about this too (in my third theory, this clearly has no structure...). Either his name is Per and he calls himself Perre (a nickname for people named Per, just as Pelle is) or he's not Swedish, which would also explain why he pronounces words weird. ^^ I'm beginning to suspect that Perre (if that IS his name, although he pronounces it Perge) is from Stockholm by the way he says Bergman with an e that's not supposed to be there, that's how we talk! haha We also pronounce ä like e xp So if you say "träd" like "treeed" it's sounds as if you're from the capital. And actually, as I'm saying "träd" over and over again trying to explain it right I'm realizing that we do roll the r:s a bit! :O I've never reflected on that before... Okay, this is getting too complicated for me so I'm switching subject if you don't mind. ;) I don't know anything about the beetle. Sounds weird. And I don't get the shirt thing. Does it switch colours all the sudden? Like a chameleont? I don't think we have it in Sweden, we just have tics and stuff... Is the beetle dangerous at all? About google, I read a couple of months back that some guy had been convicted of like a murder for searching on "knife" or "hearse" or something like that (okay, maybe it was a little bit more relavent but still...). The world's got a nosebleed... Yeah, I've heard that he was a postman too. My greatgrandmother was a post(wo)man. And both my grandmother and mother worked for the postoffice. Haha, I have numbers in my blood! So strange I suck at math... :S Sorry my reply took so long. I started writing yeterday and then I had to stop writing because I got an email from my teacher (I've been sick) about things I've missed and well, school comes first. Unfortunaly. ;)
