Birthday.

Yesterday was my birthday. I am now one year older than I was before my birthday. The logic is undisputable.

Vigilante and Yoakam Shelter came by. Chris was on a motorbike holiday in the German alps and had caught pneumonia. Send him your best get-wells and with-hopes-for-better-healths as he tries to make his way home. Feverish activity in the B Hive now as we gear up for more tunemaking and some festivals. Hope to see you there.

Saturday Night!

Tonight is saturday night.

That is when I miss you the most. I want to play shows but a new record is first.

Will see you in Germany soon though. We are playing the Southside and Hurricane festivals. Those are some of the best in the world from where I am standing(the stage).

Sitting on the couch playing guitar today. I like to do that. Trying to piece together a Randy Fitzsimmons transmission I recieved a while ago. Where do I put that bridge?

Thinking of getting an old car but dont know which one to get. It is a popular passtime in Sweden. You get an old car that looks cool but you only drive it during summer or it would turn to dust. You then spend all winter fixing it. Maybe I´ll just forget it. I saw a Jensen Interceptor when I was in New York recently. Those are great. The one I found in Sweden had the steering wheel on the wrong side. That sucks when you just got your license.

My birthday is monday! You must remember to praise me!

Hey hey hey it IS Saturday.

Sitting at home doing not much. We have been playing some great music together recently. Cant wait for you to hear it. Anyoo...

I was recently in the USA. I saw two television shows that where the worst.

1. Score on MTV

The plot is two people write a song to impress someone of the opposite sex and the winner goes on a date(!). They get a lot of help taking out any little grain of originality they didnt have so it can sound totally inane. What is wrong with people.

2. Sweet sixteen

Basically, rich spoiled kids get their parents to pay too much money for their birthday party so they can buy some new friends. What is wrong with people.

Chris goes to the Capital of Sweden

Hello my children and parents.

My oh my, me, Pelle and long time employe Joakim,
were out partying again...

On sunday afternoon I took the car and drove to
beautiful Sthlm, the place where one of the newspapers
in Sweden held their annual " Rockbjörnen" award
thing.

I got to my hotel and soon Joakim came to enjoy a beer
with me before it was time to meet up with Pelle and
enter the big gates of the party.

Me and Pelle had a mission that night, (apart from the
partying) we had been asked to give away the statue
"Rockbjörnen" to best Swedish album -05. the name of
the band who got it is Kent.

I like this award because it´s the swedish people who
decides who´s winning by voting via the internet or by
the old style way, by mail.

We won it last year for best group i think, but we were
in Mexico at the time so we couldn´t say thanks
properly. Now we did before announcing the winners so
everything feels ok now.

The party afterwords was fun. Fun to meet and talk to
pretty much every band in Sweden, we´re not at home
that much so it was nice for a change.

Anyways, hope you all will have a fantastic -06 I know
i will thanks to all of you!

Been a while. Beeeeen aaaaaaa whiiiiile.

So new year and new things to do. We stopped touring end of last year and felt a bit bruised by it I must say. Ups, downs and sideways over the world took its toll but whats not to love. You are the greatest! We had fun almost everywhere and it contained all the ridiculous antics and bright shining music that tours are supposted to contain.

Now a month into the new year we have started work on some new music. New! Music! It will probably take a while before you hear it but if you ask me things are moving along nicely so far.

Sweden is cold and a bit depressing today(hows that for a cliché) but nevertheless I feel pretty good. The Swedish grammies where yesterday. Me and Vigilante went. It wasnt all that spectacular though. We looked good though but thats about it actually.

We found an old pile of brand new white shoes at his house. You know the ones we wore in like 2000 or something. Cool shit but sweaty plastic.

Anyways, thats it for now I think. Quick poll. Who do you think should produce our next record?

Sure if you want to you can but don´t mind the shows listed in shows that are mostly German towns claimed by whoever is putting them on there to be in Denmark.

These towns are not in Denmark and The Hives are not as far as we know sceduled to play there.

The problem occured when someone tried to update our website.

Back in Japan!!!

The Hives are back in Japan and yours truly Nick Arson has been out on the town.

People welcomed me with open arms and they all said they would pop down to wherever we chose to play.

Right now I´m very hungry and inbetween words here I cut fruit with a big knife that has been left in my honour in my room. Convenient.
