London loves The Hives!!!

So the London shows went down really well. Played the 100 Club and Hoxton Bar and Grill. London has proven to be classic Hives turf so no real resistance was expected but... one never knows with the fickle islanders of the British Isles.
Thought that I would describe with my own words what happened but I think I will leave it up to someone else this time simply because I agree with these two reporters who wrote this and I am tired after the tuesday and wednesday meltdowns.
Here we go:
The Times – “The new songs sounded smarter and heavier than ever. A triumphant return indeed”
Daily Star – “They used to be our new favourite band, now they’re the best band in the world”.
Yeah, so I agree wholeheartedly with both Mr Times and Mrs Star (they gotta be great reporters and have an eye for proper rock'n roll don't you think?) and I would only in addition like to say "Thank you!" and "You're welcome London!".

Just got back to the hotel after a blistering performance at the Benacassim festival. The Hives were well on form after having the day off yesterday and blasted out whetever they had in their system to make the night nothing short of magic.
It was good as well seeing all our Spanish fans again. Long time no see but you all made the night extra special and The Hives will no doubt come back. Thanks alot and you're welcome!

Slovakia show a bomb!

Yeeehaaaaa!
Yesterdays show in Slovakia was a complete bomb. Great crowd and great Hives. Congrats to all of you who were there.
We played a new song again yesterday. It's called "Well all right!" and will probably make it on to the new album. That however was our biggest fuck up of yesterdays show. Seldom have The Hives messed up so brutally.
Nevermind though. Before perfection there is sometimes failure and we proved that as well yesterday. The Hives love proving a point and if that means messing up sometimes then so be it.
Anyhow
See ya'll tomorrow in Spain for Benacassim.

Norway defeated!

Yup!
Back on the road again after a couple of busy days in the studio finishing up the record.
Just embarked on a little minitour that will take us to all 4 corners of Europe. Slovakia tomorrow and then Spain and UK.
Today though it was Tromsö Norway that welcomed your favourite Thors with open arms. Had a great show even though early in the day and if you are anywhere nearby you should stick around to check out Turbonegro, New Bomb Turks and Iggy and the Stooges who are also playing the Bukta festival.

Czech Republic - Check!

Checked another show off the list.
Had a great show at Rock for people.
We represented rock and the people well... you know!
Pouring rains did not become anyone of us and like always - success!
Also had a great day off in Prague where we spent most of the day eating grilled cheese and ice cream and drinking beer. That is apparently what you are supposed to do in Prague.
On the way to Finland now for more. The Hives are always looking for more. It is with great pleasure that I look forward to once again butt heads with the crazy raving Finns. Hanoi Rocks are playing today too and I sure would like to see them again but some dork thought it was a good idea to have them play at the same time as us so if I'm quick after our show I'll get to see the last few songs perhaps if I rush to thier stage. Let's hope for that.

The Hives were back in the game today and yesterday playing Rock am Ring yesterday and Rock im Park today. Plan accordingly The Hives won again and were celebrated as divine saviours of hearts and souls.
The Hives also wish to extend a "Thank you!" to the crowds at both festivals who once again cemented the fact that German crowds are some of the best if not THE best in the world. Thank you all!
We will be back again for more mutual love. You bet on it!!!

Birthday bash! Part 2 Success!!!

Holy Diploma Batman straight A's!
AAAAAHHHHHHHHH! The show yesterday at Larry's was a complete success as The Hives marked their return to the rockstage as worthy champions of their game.
The crowd cheered and screamed and cheered and screamed and so forth...
The Hives played and played and played and played and then stopped to let people breethe and then played some more. WE WAS ON FIRE!
So as for next weeks shows The Hives will come to Germany as reigning rock champions with the keys to the city of Oxford. How about that?!
Let's just put yesterday in the "Funny as hell"- category and move on. The Hives will never forget.
