So here's the translation instead. My english is sloppy and there might be an idiom, not well translated, but it'll have to do. I'm very behind with my home work for this so live with it. Yeah right, and feel free to correct me. Enough babbeling:
Howlin Pelle interveiw
MB: Welcome to the studio, Howlin Pelle Almqvist from The Hives
HPA: Thank you very much
MB: It's been four years since we followed you on the America-tour, and I remember it as a huge victorylap for you. It seemed like every american wanted their fair share of The Hives; Morrisey, Metallica, Courtney Love were on the guestlist when you played there at the Roxy
HPA: Yeah, exactly, that how it usually is when we're on tour, but here it was so differential because it was the first time it was a big fuzz about everything.
MB: But tell me, what is your biggest (most special) memory from that tour?
HPA: It's probably that I got this insane bribecake, cause we were in the middle of some kind of record label fight then because, well, some record labels had bought us from other record labels and we had, you know, I don't really know how it was. It was really -
MB: It was a turbulent time -
HPA: And we had record labels that were intrested and they wanted that and they wanted this, so then I got this giant -I turned 24 in that concert that we saw there, so later there you can imagine that we walk up the stairs to the second floor of this "Roxy" in Los Angeles and then I get the world's biggest cake with my face on it [continues to say something I can't hear]-
MB: It was the NME cover, right?
HPA: Yeah, exactly. I don't know if it said NME and stuff. I don't think so, it was more a picture of me. Naw, that was fun...
MB: We don't have footage on that but I remember that you, cause I don't think that was your birthday actually.
HPA: I had my birthday the day after, in San Francisco and then I got two cakes with Sweden-themes from a couple of our friends from San Francisco, so it was one that was shaped like Sweden and one that had the colours of the Swedish flag. Insanely sweet, american cakes. I think I remember the cake most.
MB: Nice memory. Since we went along in America The Hives have released another album and travelled the world another few times. But now, fall 2006, what are The Hives' plans for now?
HPA: Like we've said we have decided we will make a fourth album, despite that we've said we never would do that, which we've had to eat up a few times. But now we'll have to eat it up even more, becuase now we're actually making a fourth album. Well, we're making the songs, we haven't started recording yet.
MB: Tell me, how's it going?
HPA: It's going a hell of alot easier than it did last time, cause the last there was always this feeling of that we were running late as of that we'd been out touring three, four years before we started making the album. So it felt like you were a month behind for six months until the album was finished. But now we have alot more songs than we've ever had because -if you are a Hives-fan [looks into the camera and makes a duh-expression], you've heard almost everything we've recorded. There's not alot of unreleased material. We usually just make those songs and when we have 13 we release an album. But this time we've actually made more which should mean that the album is better, if you have more to choose from. But you never know...
MB: The question these Hives-fans, we're asking ourselves, when is a new album coming out?
HPA: Next year it'll come out. First half of next year, I'd say.
MB: Spring 2007?
HPA: [Thinks about, as if he's careful not to say too much] You can say that, yes.
MB: Yeah, well you haven't brought alot of extra stuff in this already crowded studio-
HPA: That's what I-
MB: Just for the sake of it-
HPA: Have done-
MB: Yes, but not for the sake of it I hope. All of our intellegent Musikbyrån watchers have probably already figured out that you will play something for us-
HPA: Precisely.
MB: The band is with you, but what will you play?
HPA: Well, it started with that you asked us to play a Hives song and then the best song, becuase this is a 10 year anniversary, the best song during the last 10 years. But we voted and it becamed tied. It became five or six songs, so we're gonna do something as risky as a medley or a potpurri.
MB: You couldn't agree?
HPA: Naaw, we usually can't. But this time we didn't have the energy to fight over it so thought it's be more fun if we played more.
MB: According to the cocky Hives manar, the best song from the last 10 years should be a Hives song.
HPA: Well, there's one or more in it. But we couldn't really agree there either, so we thought -ah, you'll see what we play.
MB: Well see. Meanwhile the band tries to push their way through the set we'll return to USA 2002 again. In this sequence the Hives victory lap has gotten to San Francisco.
