Re: Marie Antoinette

what an amazing woman. kirsten dunst did a great job as her. i loved the film. alittle disappointed that they didn't show the last few events of her life, like when they try to escape and are caught, when they are in prison, when they execute louis, when they murder her son in the cell, and when they finally execute her. those would have added more to the film i think and sent a more powerful message about her as a person.

i admire her strength.

plus, she had an affair with a swede. hell yes!!!

she's now on my list of heroes.

anyone else see this movie yet?

it was awesome. it's sofia coppola's new movie. for those of you who have seen lost in translation.

Re: Let them eat cake...

Haven't seen it but Marie was kinda a spoiled brat in my opinion. But so were all those aristocrats in that period. I saw The Prestige instead because it had both Christian Bale and Hugh Jackson. :-D I thought it was really good.

Re: she was sooooo smart :P

who could forget her famous words, when the people of France were starving: Why dont they eat some cake?

come to think aboot it, that sounds like something that HPA could say haha

But it wasnt really her fault, its not her fault that everybody in the royal families were inbred! :)

Re: ...

Marie Antoinette was a dumb bitch who spent all of the French citizen's tax money on clothes and petty things for herself.

But I thought it was strange that a song from Room On Fire was on the soundtrack, it's 3 years old. And my friend saw it and was baffled about the whole Converse thing... what the fuck?

But anyways, I probably wouldn't like this movie, but I loved The Virgin Suicides, and at least every one agrees that Eternal Sunshine and The Science of Sleep are fantastic, because they are.
