The other song is great... but... it's not really what I want from The Hives... as long as it's not a single.

There has to be some kinda story behind Genepool Convulsions... I have a theory it was gonna be the lead single (or at least A single) of Tyr. Hives, but they took it out because the bass solo would create too many comparisons to HTSITYS. But seriously... that song deserves some damn recognition...

If there's ever a "Still Your Favorite Band" compilation that song better be on it... hell, I really wouldn't mind if they threw Genepool Convulsions onto this album as a filler.

99% of every Hives fan *snarles at Gary* loves it. So, you'd think that alot of non-Hives fans would be converted to Hivesanism if it were presented in a way where the masses could hear it but - being a b-side on a single in a world where singles are downloaded off myspace - it's not really gonna be heard by anybody who's not a huge fan. And I mean, OBVIOUSLY The Hives want as many people to love them as possible, so why not make one of their most loved songs more accessible for the masses?

The song's not really about drums, it's about the guitar that manages to sound like evolution somehow... all primal and whatnot. But eh, if you don't like the drums, then well... that's your thing..... faggot.
