When you hate some kind of band it is provided to not speak about them and just leave them be. But anyhow, I like some. Most people just hate Green Day because then they think they look cool. you know it isint really green day thats annoying, its idiot fans that can only prove a point by saying that they like them and they dont care, yet they defend them to the death. you know what, i have changed my stance on green day. they ARE punk. how are they not? because they're rich? so? they're trying to raise awareness about an issue tahts effecting alot of people, and are directly defying teh biggest moneymaking body in the world -the U.S. government. Half of you us wouldnt care about the bush administration had bands like green day not brought it into light with their album. the music may be terrible, but it is as close to punk as we can get nowadays. look at late 70s punks. what were tehy rebelling against? dfgdsgfsdfg you have a point but the difference between awarness from greenday and awarness from bands like the clash or the sex pistols is that they werent trying to promote it on mtv...fuck* yeah greenday your so harcore rebelling against the US government, yet you talk on trl and support one of the biggest american money making powers? if mtv aint corporate then hell i dont know what is greenday! get your facts straight billy joe, then maybe i'll give you some respect

hgkhjhkj yeah they were but EMI cancelled their contract cause they were too "rowdy" i know where your coming from too, the sex pistols are a bit of a joke in some aspects, but hey i still like their music which i guess seperates them from greenday cause with greenday i dont like their phony messages nor their music the clash on the other hand were great all the sex pistols were, was just like a shock factor "oh my god they spit!" but folks like the clash they had a real message and real music

sdfsdfsdf well the thing about greenday is that you can tell they are trying too hard. The Clash just did what they did you know...Greenday is too concerned that people are noticing what they are doing and so yeah they have to make it more explicit and "hardcore" bottom line there is better stuff to listen to and bands with better and messages and fuck* bands with no messages just good music...thats what music is all about right? sounding good! at least i think so
