| hiveshoney registered: 2/9/2005 00:00 posts: 153  | hello friends :] i was just wondering if anyone else here, no matter the nation, knew any other good bands from sweden? or any bands at all, even if the band sucks? i for example like kent, the cardigans and broder daniel. the ark is awesome live. and in flames is a bit too loud for me, but also amazing live. and i've got some "musicians" to kill too, darin and per gessle for example. and all those bands that's like swedens answer to country-musik. eeew. and there names are almost as bad as their music, for example "flamingos" .. "sven-ingvars" .. "lasse stefans". the last two are real swedish names, but often used on men over 60. i don't have anything else to do then to sit here, so until my friends arrive for the horror movie-night you can entertain me by answering this - for you - stupid question so that i have something to read :] <3 from me, felicia a.k.a "fille". |

Not too didicated fans after all, are you? Well anyway, since I'm not that hardcore about my Hives obsession, here's some other swedish bands (if that was the only criteria): Suburban kids with biblical names - Very versital pop David Sandström Overdrive (Here's For Summer is probably the best feel good-song ever) - Poprock Dungen - Physcadelic folk The Knife - Electronica The Concretes- Pop I'm from Barcelona (big ups for the Fawlty Towers-refrence :D) - Every-one-can-sing-in-a-choir-Pop And if you'll except musians instead of bands: Jens Lekman - Very swedish winter-depression-Pop José Gonzales - Mellow, guitarbased pop Laleh - Swedish/Persian folk music mixed with pop Okay, this got a bit boring now so I think I'll stop... Let me know if you've found a gengre that you like |

Plus I always feel really cocky when people talk about her because the first time I ever saw her wasn't on P3 Guld, but on Musikbyrån 2002/2003 (can't remember when it was anymore, just remember that when she came on P3 Guld I recognized her from the sagment). I know this is totally irrelavent but I just had to get that in there... ;P I like the pop songs too, but my favourites are Bostadsansökan and Storebror. I think so fun that somebody has managed to redefine swedish folk so well. And all by her self I should add. Well -anyway- I love her too! |

Äntligen lite erkännande. :p Spelade Bostadsansökan för en av mina kompisar, då frågade hon om "det här typ är en plojlåt eller nåt?". Jag svarade att "nej, det är vanlig svensk folkmusik", men det visar ganska bra hur musikintresserade kompisar jag har. Försöker jämt få dem att lyssna på nya band. Har försökt med alla olika stilar som finns men -ironiskt nog- så är det enda som funkat Johnny Thunders. Gissa om jag blev förvånad! Jaja, I feel your pain. Men ge inte upp, någon gång kommer nog nån tipsa dig också. ;D |
