I've been registered here for a bit, and I don't like to see newbies get pounded on. Sure we all got annoyed when everyone notiec the six pairs of feet on Tyrannasarous Hives, and yes you could say that the newbies didn't read other posts that address this, but a) perhaps since they are new, they weren't around for the "official" discussion or b) sometimes topic titles are so ambigious or irrelevant to what the content is (what if on a picture thread someone ended with "oh and I heard there's gonna be a new album in '06, how would a new person know to read that topic for that information) so why even bother to look. I've stopped commenting for the most part, because I got tired of all this tag teaming and stuff, and half of the topics bore the heck out of me ( but people enjoy them, so I have nothing against it). So I say we should be a little easier on people new to the board, cause we all like the Hives, and if people who have been here a long time are against "newbies" because they feel they aren't true Hives fans, let time sort it out. True fans of anything stick around regardless, perhaps a little quieter than others, but I love the Hives and welcome anyone that wants to talk about them...

I think I was generally accepted when I first came here. I kind of snuck in though...I don't think I ever came right out and introduced myself. I guess I wanted to see how Hives fans acted first and foremost.

I remember the first thing anyone said directly to me though. Graybar Hotel told me that he liked my then name "LoAndBeholden". I remember being impressed with the fact that he knew it was a Patti Smith song...and that he was a Patti fan.
