My room is crap!
I am not taking pics it is that crap!

What can I do to make it funkier?

I saw someone had a white tie hanging from...somewhere..that is so cool.
I am stealing your idea!


I have barely any room.
My bed is tiny-ish, a massive wooden trunk thing and shelves.
The only awesome things are my guitar, my cool CD player where I can put in THREE hives cds..., my Flaming Lips, Hives and John Lennon posters and my other 38 pics of the Hives.

I also have a lamp with yellow hippos on it!





My number one prob is I hate the colour of my room. (I want it like a black and white chessboard, not cause of the Hives, but cause it would be super cool) I can't paint it so I thought plastering my walls with pics would help...now it looks weird.

What can I do to make more room rockier and spunkier?

i cant paint the wall where i live either
what i did was i bought a piece of Black cardboard (1.00 where i work) and used black ducttape to adhere it to the wall, and i put upmy hives stuff on that,

if you want you could steal my idea of puting the five records (.50 ea random, can be scratched) and i just put new covers on them to spell out

also i dont have a Hives sign like pellefr3ak's beutimuss sign, so i used red reflective tape (can be found at an army surplus store or hardware store) and made my Hives sign!!!

I was thinking of getting big pieces of carboard (black and white..or whatever) to cover the walls with, then sticking on pics over them.....


I thought that would be awesome??

thats what i did, i think if
money isnt too tight (for me it is) you could go to like office max and buy a black and white presentation board (1 of each color) and cut them to make a checker board pattern and put the pieces together with ducttape and put it onthe wall like that

just an idea

for a pic of a presentation board, but basically it is a board that you put pictures and graphs of things, people usually use them for presentations to companies

How bout a cork board!
I could paint that black and white and stick up little pics of them and reminders and stuff.
it just hivensates my room that little bit extra.....

yeah just get a black one and a white one and
cut it into even squares and tape it together to create your checker pattern

When in doubt, paint some furniture. All the furniture in my living room was absolute flea market CRAP when I found it and now, well at least in my opinion, it's gorgeous. You'd be surprised how much just painting ONE thing changes the feel of a room. Alright, I'm off my soap box now. :)

Well, I tell you what Heather, that fabulous couch, broke a support spring (or whatever the hell it was) and NOW I have to have someone cut me a slat of board the size of the frame so guest who sit on my beloved Hives sofa, will not fall through. HowEVER, if this does not work out and the board does serve the purpose like I think it will, I will have to get a NEW couch. In which case, while you may not want the frame, I will give you first dibs when I sell the cushions.
