thanks guys! glad you like it. I have some sketches of the other guys, but havent inked and colored them yet. I'll get around to it some time tonight. It'd be cool to have a poster of the whole band rocking out.

how to
I did some sketches with a pencil, then went over it in ink when it was looking good. I made sure his guitar had all the details of the one he really uses. Then I scanned it in and colored it in photoshop using a Wacom tablet instead of a mouse. I had lots of reference photos (supplied by most of you) and actually just took alot of the colors (such as skin, jacket and hair) directly from the photos. Then I just added the gold speckled background ala Tyranosaurus Hives CD cover. I just tried to capture his style of rocking out, which to me is that he always has his mouth wide open and that he shakes his left leg alot. The Hives have lots of personality so that makes it easy!
