 Okay
So in Spin magazine (very good publication that loves the Hives) they have a thing called "The Records that Changed my Life" where rock stars list their favorite albums. In the newest one they had Pelle do it and he has different taste than I thought he would:
1. Hound Dog Taylor/ "Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers" - a jazz record from a sax player with 11 fingers
2. AC/DC/ "For Those About to Rock" - he says he bought it when he was seven becuase "it had a cannon on the cover"
3. Bad Brains/ "Bad Brains" - He says this is how he discovered punk
4. Operation Ivy/ "Energy"- when the Hives formed they were all into them
5. New Bomb Turks/ "Destroy-Oh-Boy!!'- "It seemed like the antidote to anything that was perfectly harmonized"
6. Oblivions/ "Popular Favorites" - "It had elements of '60's girl groups and '50's balladry"
7. Little Richard/ "The Explosive Little Richard"- "I got bored with punk"
8. The Saints/ "Eternally Yours"- "It's one of the records I have listened to most in my life."
9. Television/ "Marquee Moon"- "It's a really great pop record"
10. Gene Pitney/ "Greatest Hits"- "This is when I noticed then trick to making music that really reaches people... was to go a lot over the top."

All quotes from Pelle Almqvist. I looove doing research!

I here where you are coming from glitterfaery311. A similar instance happened to me only with Tequila and somewhere between hallucinating and vomiting I made that ever-famous indecipherable "pact with god". You know the whole, "If you get me out of this I swear I will NEVER drink (insert alcohol of choice here) again!" I still can't drink tequila straight, anything with tequila in it or even smell it from the bottle without gagging.

lol
i have that page up on my wall. i was scanning through that mag one day at walmart in line for layaway with my mother and it just opened to that page and i screamed/gapsed and every soul in that line starred at me. i just said "what? youve never seen the hottest Swede before?" and they just turned away. i'm serious, my mother almost killed me until she knew what i freaked out about.
hehe...

is it me, or does Pelle look like Luke Skywalker? just a little?

i still drink vodka every once in awhile but i cant smell it first...its weird...but i had an extremely traumatic experience with it...i drank half of one of the huge 90 proof bottles in like an hour and i ended up puking all night and day and having the taste of vodka in my mouth for like a week afterward...it sucked...

hardtimes
i thought it would be an awesome idea to challenge some huge dude to a drinking contest. we went through a 40oz in like 20 minutes, it was so disgusting. i kept barfing and i went home and i was afraid to sleep because i thought i would choke on my own vomit, so i just stayed up and kept barfing til like 10 in the morning.
for so long after i could smell it from like a mile away and it would make me gag.

what a gross vomit filled story.
