| kimbobway registered: 7/16/2004 00:00 posts: 1709 | that's are purty nice!! good job. what kind of paint did you use?? fabric paint? so how did you stencil the second one? it would probably be easier to airbrush it then use a paintbrush. i like the pic you choose to do in the second one, it's looking good. *thumbs up* i'm sure you're going to inspire other hives fans to make shirts.... like ME! haha, now i want to make one. i made a skeleton shirt for halloween, maybe i'll post it. i free handed the whole thing. GAH! it took a couple hours. hehe. |

| Mrs.Arson registered: 11/26/2004 00:00 posts: 419 | Hello You Guys! thanks alot for all the positive comments! it was extra fun makin the shirts... the black one was actually the first shirt i made...so the reason its not painted as well...is because it was my first attempted and i was really scared i would screw it up!! and the stencil...well i used(cheaper way to go) an overhead transparency sheet..and i took a hives picture that would have a good silhouette and traced it on paper..and then used an exacto knife(razor) and traced it thru and it cut! presto! but it was actually really hard to cut the stencil...so be patient with yours! and the green shirt...well i was having so much fun, i just whipped out a quicky design..so its not as good! but Hey it say The Hives...so of course its good! well anyways, thanks for your great opinions and i will be sure to post the many more that im making(silhouettes of nicholaus, one of pelle, and im gonna make a name shirt like they wore..but with nicholaus arson on it...and then my teacher says i have to use my own designs now..not pictures...but im still gonna do plenty more..so WATCH OUT!!! mrs. guitARSON |

And I just use fabric paint...it stays on pretty good. I have a whole slew of shirts...I have one that says "I (Heart) Howlin' Pelle Almqvist", that was a fun shirt to make because the name is soooo long! And I'm trying to think of something else to make because I have a ton of plain t-shirts to make more... Sometimes if I like the shirt enough I get it custon made - screen printed to look nicer. I made one for Franz Ferdinand when I thought it was going to see them (I didn't) and it had a red heart on the front and FF inside the heart and on the back it said "Alex K. Take Me Out". Yup yup, making t-shirts is a great past time of mine. Later kids! |
