well... i use to listen to way different music and my friends would play their CDs in the car. I usually didnt care much for some of the music but The Hives were a band that I actually liked then I was in NY and my friend asked me if i wanted to go to the concert and I said yes. I went to the concert and then left totally hooked. I liked it so much we bought tickets the next day for the 2nd show. TheEnd of my lame story

The first time I saw them on Tv i was like "OH MY GOD THAT GUITARIST LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE MY HOT CHEMSTRY TEACHER.(POINTS AT NIC)." Then later on he became hotter than my teacher. Sorry Mr. Anderson......Nicholaus is hotter.
Then the second time I listen to the song and loved the lyrics!
The next day I bought their cd. This was like 3 years ago.

mystory
I first heard them in 2000 on a radio station that was dedicated to new rare music. I thought they were ok but the voice annoyed me so much. My friend was obsessed with sweden at the time and when she found out they are swedes she imidiatly became obsessed. I heard "hate to say I told you so" and a.k.a.i.d.i.o.t over and over. the songs just bacame so stuck in my head that I bought the CDs so I could hear them more. After that it slowly bacame a fandom as I learned that once you get them stuck in your head that they never will get out. However my friends obsession slowly faded as the swedish thing did.

Well...
I heard Walk, Idiot, Walk on The Chart Show (yes, that recently, I wish I knew them before) and I loved how different it was from everything else. I then searched everywhere for more Hives stuff, and I eventually got YNFB on eBay for about £2.

 my story and first post
I had heard the Hives before but never before did I actually appreciate it. That is until I made a last second trip to Las Vegas and found out they were playing the Hard Rock. I went to the show and was completely blown away. Best live show I have ever seen. Since then I have been addicted. Rock on

To tell the truth
When I heard Walk, Idiot Walk (The first song I heard from them) it really annoyed me and I hated it for like a couple months. But I don't know, one day I just LOVED them. Now I can't get enough.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT/ HEAR FOR ME
I was watching rage (music show) and i wasnt really paying much attention but then the video for walk idiot walk came on and i just saw this beautiful male pop up and scream out of my telivision (u no the great yealp pelle does at the start of the song) it just filled the whole screen and immeadiatly got my attention....that film clip is amazing. - the suits- pelles energy- the catchy beat to walk idiot walk- pelles eyes- his expressions- the fact he looked like malcolm mcdowell (my fantasy man)- it was everything- the whole package! i remember feeling hot and flustered and so excited and i bought the cd that week. am now officially obsessed
yes yes it was love at first sight

more obsessed since i saw them live

 Me...
I was browsing the music channels with my friend, when Walk Idiot Walk came on...Pelle just appeared on the screen, howled at us and left. We sat, stunned, throughout the whole video, then when it ended we both sort of looked at each other, and I said "That was FOOKING amazing!" and we went and found it again. From then on ;)

I vowed to see this band live.Ive seen them 3 times now and I'll se them everytime they come to LA......
