The only problem was that I wasn't satisfied with anything that was out (this was in 1987, by the way). By some unseen force I stumbled onto REM who has, over the past 17 years, climbed into my soul and made permenant residence there. The point? The Hives are the first thing I had heard in (at the time) 15 years that made me feel THAT excited about a band and their music. I waited a long time for this...I will not take it for granted. |
