 | I really enjoyed listening to... The Deadly Snakes. I didn't care for The Rogers Sisters, but I really like TDS. I definitely wouldn't want to miss them. | | posted: 11/29/2004 13:06 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | I don't know But here's what their site says about them: "The Deadly Snakes are the best band playing and recording music today. There are cheap imitations and jealous rebuttals. There are too many oversimplified descriptions -but The Deadly Snakes are truly one of those bands that defy description. A band with eclectic songwriting ability, yet an unmistakably characteristic sound." When I saw The Hives last time around, I had never heard of The Sahara Hotnights or Reigning Sound and ended up enjoying both. If you already paid good money for your tickets you might as well give these guys a shot. The only thing they have going against them so far that I know is that they're from Canada. Canada sucks. That's why The Hives won't tour there! Hahahaha! But seriously, it's a terrible country. | | posted: 11/29/2004 13:07 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | The Deadly snakes They didn't do much for me personally. Their songs kinda sound the same and they don't have a crazy stage presence. | | posted: 11/29/2004 13:31 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | Well... the bassist of The Rogers Sisters was pretty cool. The guitarist (Jenifer, was it?) annoyed me very, very deeply. I don't know why, though. | | posted: 11/29/2004 14:50 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | THE DEADLY SNAKES... WERE VERY SOULFUL, AND BLUESY...WHEN POLLY AND I WERE WAITING OUTSIDE THE VENUE, AND THE OPENING BANDS WERE JUST ARRIVING BY BUS, I SAW THEM...AND ACTUALLY DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE THE BAND...BUT THE LEAD SINGER SMILED AT ME! AND THE DRUMMER KEPT LOOKING AT ME DURING THE SHOW! COOL! | | posted: 11/29/2004 15:01 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | why did the hives pick them to be on tour with them? OK, I've been reading about The Deadly Snakes and The Rogers Sisters a bit online now, and they both sound kind of interesting - but they're not exactly very well-known. Why would the Hives pick such unknown bands to be on their tour? They could get The Strokes or someone like that. | | posted: 11/30/2004 06:36 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | yes but the strokes are too big and nowhere near as exciting. there's no way the strokes would open up for the hives. And if the Hives opened up the Strokes would be blown off the stage and back to boarding school | | posted: 11/30/2004 10:39 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | the deadly snakes i really enjoyed their set in Atlanta. The Rogers Sisters...not so much. The singer(s) didn't sing, it was all monotronous.
I thought the DS's were very melodic, and gritty at the same time. Plus, the frontman's moustache ROCKED!

 | are we talking about the same band? i don't think you're talking about the deadly snakes. they don't have a keyboard player. it's a rock band. | | posted: 12/7/2004 11:49 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | well apparently you are the one thinking of the wrong band. I saw the deadly snakes just last night and there IS a keyboard and a keyboard player to go with it. rock bands arent only electric guitars and drums | | posted: 12/7/2004 14:36 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | .... the deadly snakes are very very awesome, and they are very very cool people. The pianist is very amusing
for the bronx-- i absolutely hated the singer.. but i loved the drummer. he seems intimidating, but he's very nice... yes yes.... and hes an awesome drummer
that my opinion.. theres probably not that many people that agree with me.. but oh well. | | posted: 12/11/2004 13:00 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |
