 | A Clockwork Orange! A Clockwork Orange is the most fantastic film ever made! It's a source of major "rah rah" inspiration for my droog Molly and me. We plan on parading around town dressed as the main character, Alex, this coming Halloween.
Donnie Darko and The Mothman Prophecies are equally freaky. Both leave me too afraid to look in the mirror or out the window at night! | | posted: 10/25/2004 12:36 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | Well... Anything with Johnny Depp is usually pretty good. Edward Scissorhands is superb. That zombie movie, 28 days, (I think it was) was pretty okay.

Basically any Hayao Miyazaki film, but my favorite of his is definitely Spirited Away.
Also the Lord of the Rings. Mystic River was good also.
Oh! And Mary Poppins! Gosh I love that movie.
Urgh...there are definitely more, but I seem to be having trouble thinking of them at the moment, so I'll leave it at that for now... | | posted: 10/25/2004 15:20 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | FILMS Horror and silent films are my favorite as well as biographical/historical films. Every now and then a decent drama will fly my way, but I tend to expect either a twist in the plot at some point or the presence of a profound statement. I despise romance films unless they are realistically and intelligently written (i.e.-As Good As It Gets). As far as comedies, I'm not a big fan because most current comedy has gotten ridiculous and is more obnoxious than clever. My basic list of enjoyable films would be something to the effect of: Psycho ('60) Nosferatu Philadelphia Malcom X American History X Identity Night of the Living Dead Being John Malkovich Silence of the Lambs What's Eating Gilbert Grape? The Shawshank Redemption Seven | | posted: 10/25/2004 23:04 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |

 | Yeah I found that movie to be rather disturbing, but not in a bad way, rather more of an enlightening way. Similar to my perception of "Basketball Diaries". Sometimes there is just no way to sugarcoat the story. | | posted: 10/26/2004 18:30 | Reply | PM | Edit | IP |
