how can this be?!
How was Pelle a music teacher if he joined the band at like 17?? He would have to be atleast 21 because of college... so how was he a teacher? Is schooling different in Sweeden? Confusing!

hmmmm
i believe i read somewhere that the hives love to tell the press whatever will shut them up pretty much. i personally have also wondered but just leave it to the hives being the hives and they are the only ones that really know what's true and what's not. I personally don't care whether or not any of them are anything near to what they say they are as long as they keep playin. this music... it's like medicine. "It's healthier for you, our kind of music. We're like social workers telling people what to eat." How true HPA, how true...

 hmm...
Swedes don't finish "high school" until they're 18 or 19. Most then take some time off before they begin university studies. It's highly, highly unlikely that Pelle was ever a teacher.

 No Way!
They were lying to apease the interviewer! Don't you get their humor? It's hysterical! The Hives said themselves that, we shouldn't worry and they reminded us that they reserve the right to lie in interviews if it fits their purposes! Pelle said it in a journal entry.

I think
... he was just a substitute. Not a real teacher.
You don't have to have a university degree to be a substitute here in Sweden. And it's possible that he was in the band and worked as a teacher at the same time. Before the hives became famous and all that.

you dont need a four year degree to be a music teacher. i wouldn't doubt that they didn't go to a music school instead of a normal high school. and if so he wouldn't of really needed anymore school to teach music

yeah you dont need a degree to teach music. my cousins piano and music teacher (who she has lessons with after school) is 17, shes like some genius or something. did he mention it in a intrview then? i read that years ago. plus anywho, he said somewhere he was thinking about being a psychologist before the band took off lol
