It does feel a little like that other loser, Dave Matthews. I so hate this kind of music.


here's my review - I have to write a bit more on it but this is the gist of it.

If you’ve ever seen Animal House you must remember the guy who was playing acoustic guitar on the stairs; you know, the guy who gave his love a cherry? That, friends, was Jack Johnson.

This weepy balladeer fits nicely between fellow Hades dwellers Ben Harper and G Love, and, like his ilk, has nothing to offer to anyone who possesses a brain larger than a pea.

Brushfire Fairytales is exactly the kind of KKKrap you’re bound to find playing at the local coffee house during those torrid poetry reading nights or Saturday nights at Borders. It’s precisely the kind of CD that’s bound to get you laid, but are you really willing to sell your soul for a piece of the beav?

0 stars. 0. This new arrival on the musical scene does not portend well. He must be destroyed.

My cousin...
Is OBSESSED with Jack Johnson. Whenever we hang out she always plays his CD's... they arn't really that bad because they are so mellow, you kinda even forget they are playing.


P.s. Jack Johnson is a character on Futurama, not him, but someone with his name. He is a presidentiol candidate running against John Jackson.... teehee.

I know a ton of people who are actully "big" fans of Jack Johnson and his weepy, emotion ladden troubadour stylings.

This is why he must be destroyed. It is people such as he and Ben Harper and John Mayer who are responsible for all the evils in the world and we must not allow them to succeed. They must be broken.

i love G. Love. i think he's great, and not to mention hot. i've been a fan for like 9 years now. not as big a fan as i am of the Hives but i do think hes great and i know alot of people who love him. my favourite song of his would have to be "Cold Beverage"

for one thing - I'm not into the newfangled white boy blues revival scene at all. I don't think there's ever been a good white blues musician and never will be. First because it's an essentially black medium - the same way punk is an essentially angry white kid medium - secondly because the blues is so limited that nothing new can be added to it - it's all been done before and better by the likes of Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy Williamson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Muddy Waters, etc.

I find the white stripes, black keys, g love to be talented rip off artists. It's ok to like them, but once you discover where they come from, they really start to pale in comparisson The same way Green Day pales in comparisson to The Ramones, you know?
