Honky!

I've been replaying the Melvin's cd "honky" over and over for the past couple of days.
the magic starts with track 1, "they must all be slaughtered" a slow melodic sound track type dirge.
Lovely Butterflies - I just like that song.
and track 7 for laughs - "Laughing with Lucifer at Satan's Side Show" pretty funny stuff.
honky is just another melvins masterpiece.
Tomorrow i'm "buying" the melvins brand new release- "Pigs of the Roman Empire" with a dood called Lustmond adding some sonic landscaping.

The Hives!

I'm in a very Hives mood. I'm obsessed with the song "The Hives are Law, You are Crime" right now. Only the Hives could make a song with absolutely no lyrics and keep me hitting play over and over. It really shows how much they rock that they can make songs like that that depend entirely on their musical-playing and composition talent (other than singing). I do hear one howl near the end of the song from Pelle, but it makes me wonder what he does on stage for that song if they play it live?
