They want to just sing for people, not to tell everything about themselves. It's a normal thing, every band do that. But they are unusuall, for me(of course) especially Howlin:)

I think it's cool the way they are handeling hte whole famous thing!! they can act cool and shallow...they have created an Image that allot of famous people don't think you can have in oder to make it..the Hives are braking the rules, and rock on!

....... I agree with skweetis2U - I think they do it out of fun, for the most part. But also, I think they created the whole mysterious Fitzsimmons thing to make sure the type of hard-rockers who hate a band as soon as they see they dress nice or hear that they don't write their own songs don't like them, because they like irritating people like that. They probably want people to like them who actually take the time to look into it and see if they think this Fitzsimmons actually exists. Besides the fitzsimmons issue, I think that The Hives are just really clever and know that a mysterious air is better for a rock band and keeps people interested.
