 Dropkick is Awesome
I love the Dropkick Murphys. I have to admit that I like Flogging Molly better though. I like how they have more of a traditional Irish sound with a rock edge. I'm going to see them in October. (I hope.)

Favourite bands
okay, you are like the only person's taste i agree with.
My favourite bands are: the strokes, the white stripes, the von bondies, ben harper and the innocent criminals, Jurassic 5, the velvet underground, the hives (well yeah), the vines, the kings of leon, and my favourite song is "kick it" by Peaches and Iggy Pop

Let me just say - i can't stand Jet, they play them to death in Australia and they don't deserve it - i mean they're so samey, "are you gonna be my girl" is an iggy pop song from nude and rude, and all of the guitar solos are completely ripped off the beatles, they're soo boring.

it's pretty good (c'mon c'mon single is really catchy and good for tapping your foot too)

Nirvana is my favourite band of all time going on a solid 3 years now
The hives are absolutely divine, black sabbath has amazing guitar solos, Velvet Underground has the brilliant words of Lou Reed, The Libertines, The Datsuns, Weezer, Bright Eyes, Jimi Hendrix is brilliant along with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin congratulations. Radiohead and Muse -what a refreshing classic sound. Coldplay.. yes, it IS great.. the sound IS great. The Clash and The strokes
YEAH YEAH YEAHS! and Hole (the Live through this disc) are ass kicking with female-osity

i could go on, but im sure everyone has the point

Refused, the (international) Noise Conspiracy, Satanic Surfers, Sahara Hotnights, Lost Patrol, the Cardigans.

Americans I like are New Bomb Turks, the Vandals, Bad Religion, TSOL, the Kinison, Green Day, Joykiller, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Authority Zero, and more.

UK bands I like are Radiohead and Wire. Don't remember who else is from the UK.

And I agree with the Jet thing. It was depressing to hear DJ's hype up such shit*
A guy saying a bunch of dumb sayings with no lyrical substancem backed by a band that is playing someone else's songs.
