yeaaa I know what you mean guitar guy...and being honest, I don't think there is any other person on Earth as obsessed as I am with the White Stripes. They inspired me to start playing guitar and being as it is that I am two minutes away from The White Stripes hometown Detroit, it makes me even more obsessed that I live so close to them, I love the White Stripes so much they make me want to punch the air. Yeah. lol

It's only cause I have seen the White Stripes live in concert and it was the best concert I had ever seen in my life. ok yea whatever I think the white stripes are great. better than the hivves. the white stripes are my favourite band. and they are geniouses and you can't say that meg's drumming is too crappy or whatnot. her minimalistic drumming is great stuff drawing from the 60's and whatever. and jack does great guitar work. i was watching him go into dead leaves and the dirty ground from another song and i was just like o jack let me have sex with you...well not really but the way he plays the guitar is really appealing. to me at least

the whitestripes i do like the whitestripes, and i find jack white to be quite attractive [with the exception of the "hardest button to button" video]. but i like how they dont have a bassist, its interesting, they do make good music tho, the drumming is somewhat "sloppy" at someparts, but very well playd, and theres a band that opend for them in toronto that i reely like, called "whirlwind heat" i liek them because they have no guitarist, nd they're music is good and interesting, they consist of a lead singer,bassist, and drummer, theyre crazy live

Well all I was going to say is that 'genious' is THE Hives word and should not be used on bands such as the White Stripes... and if you want to talk about your love for them surely it would make more sense to go on their forum?! Yes, they have a few decent songs, but they really aren't my type of band. Does anyone else think that B is for Brutus sounds a bit like the White Stripes recent songs?? Well the drumming anyway... reminded me of them when I heard it, heh.

I mean, like the HIVES have 10-12 grrrrreat songs I can think of off the top of my head, and when I think of Jack White I can only think of 3 or 4 (and that's stretching it)--he still has acting though:)!

wasd The hives are great but not genious. They're style has been done before...waaaay before. However that doesn't diminish them as a band. They are one of my favorite bands, and they make great songs. First off the whites stripes are only a 2 piece band!!! It's amazing that they can make their music sound like it's not missing anything. Their music is uniqu. Jack Whites artistic genious becomes even more apparent when you read his letters and poems \m/ ^_^ \m/

heh i agree.. musically, the white stripes are superior to the hives.. which is odd, considering that neither are technically proficient (which jack admits to) because of the self imposed limitations.. jack white's guitar playing amazes me.. even with his finger injury he was still able to rock hard.. i have 8 hours of their music (4 albums, ALL singles and b-sides, 5 live shows) and none of it sounds the same twice.. which i love... especially Death Letter.. it's good to hear how creative he can be in the improv solos at the beginning or the middle.. or how jack randomly breaks down into another song like he frequently does.. example: the grammy's, broke down from 7NA to Death Letter... i have never heard a band doing this.. or for that matter any of the things the white stripes do... i'm looking forward to their next record

I have a one of a kind White Stripes home video of them playing at the Detroit Institute of art, and I'll never let that go, The White Stripes are my favorite.And I have sources, and I heard that The White Stripes are going to start recording soon. Doesn't Jack White have his own record label? I think its called Third Man...not sure though.

However, Jack White likes to experiment more with guitar and have Meg White drumming a steady beat. The Hives have Pelle, a great frontman, way more goodlooking than Jack White (I might add) and more rock. Even though the discussion is dropped, I thought I should say that. eek.

jason is a twat* jason deserved to get the crap beat out of him. the whole band turned on jack after jack let them record in his house and he produced their CD. jason did this for a year and a half to two. i think jack couldve taken a more subtle approach but jason was asking for it. and that picture is a bunch of dried blood and a black eye. its not a bunch of cuts or anything. and his eye..thats from when hewas a kid. he left his contact in his eye for a year and when he took it out a layer of his eye peeled off with it...just his luck that jack would hit him in that eye...hahaha i love the VB's though i love don!
